Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker
One of the nicest presents we received for our wedding shower was an cuisinart ice cream maker. I never thought that I would really appreciate an item like this, especially since I’m not really interested in cooking very much. I’m also not crazy about making a big mess in the kitchen. I’m glad to report that the cuisinart ice cream maker is the perfect gift for someone like me.
The reason that the present is ideal is two fold. First of all, I’m a big fan of ice cream in general. I love to try new flavors and recipes. The cuisinart ice cream maker
gives me the opportunity to try new and unusual ingredients in my recipes. I can also make up some new ideas on my own that usually come out pretty great.
Aside from being an ice-cream fan, I am also a fan of modern amenities that make life easy. The cuisinart ice cream maker is a real treat for someone who wants great results with little effort. The process is ridiculously simple and anyone can do it. I have an easier time running my electric ice cream maker than I do my toaster
The ease of use is a great benefit for anyone who has kids. I threw a party for my niece that involved the kids participating in making their own frozen desserts for the occasion. The cuisinart ice cream maker is so easy to use and it works so quickly that we were able to make enough for everyone by the end of the event.
I also like that clean-up is pretty simple but I’m not going to tell you that it is easy. You would expect an cuisinart ice cream maker to create a headache of a mess to pick up but the machine doesn’t. However, it isn’t perfectly simple, either. You do have a little bit of work ahead of you when you use the cuisinart ice cream maker but it’s not nearly as bad as you would expect.
Now that I am getting better at using the cuisinart ice cream maker I’m ready to start collecting some of my original recipes for a book. Of course, I’ll only choose the ones that are really outstanding and there are plenty. Who would have thought that a simple item like an cuisinart ice cream maker could turn a person like me into someone who loves to spend time in the kitchen? Here I give a tips for a new user.
How to use an Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker
1. Fill ice cream can 3/4 full; mixture will expand.
2. Insert the dasher making sure it is
positioned correctly into the can indentation in some
cases depending on the Cuisinart Ice Cream Makers just pour the mixture into the
bowl
3. Place cover on ice cream bowl.
4. Place filled can in bucket.
5. Turn on the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker
For Ice Cream Makers that operate as a self contained unit the process finishes here.
For Ice Cream Makers that don't operate as a self contained unit:
6. While it's running, add 2 inches of ice on the bottom of the bucket.
7. Sprinkle about 1/4 cup salt over ice.
8. Continue layering ice and salt until the ice level reaches
the top of the rotating ice cream can.
9. In about 20 to 40 minutes, the Cuisinart ice cream maker should stop churning.
10. Carefully clean lid, remove, and pack down ice cream in the can.
11. Place ice cream can in freezer for several hours to harden.
Making Creamy Ice Cream in a Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker?
Actually it has ALL to do with butterfat. If your butterfat content was higher it wouldnt freeze like ice. You have water infiltrating your mixture at some point that is causing your ice cream to freeze like that. Go to a health foods market and get "un-homogenized" whole milk and heavy cream. It should work WAY better.
